Beautiful machine. So quiet and very simple to use once read the instructions. Already have a Janome 1600p but needed another for different types of work as that just does straight stitch.
This Janome Atelier 3 sewing machine is a delight to use. My wife and I are both beginners at sewing but this machine is so brilliant is design and ease of use that we are now daring to call ourselves experts after only one day of use. Whatever level of sewing you consider yourself to be at, this machine will not disappoint. My advice would be to buy it.
Although I haven't had time yet to explore all the features I am delighted with my new machine. It runs very smoothly and quietly and copes well with sewing small items. Just live the auto thread cutter too ! Stewart at Fabric Mouse was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Really reassuring to have the back up of an established shop after my last online disaster.
The service I received was brilliant! I went to enquire about a new sewing machine and ended up buying an overlocker too! Such a great deal. I have since been back with a friend who also purchased a machine. Five star service all round!!
I tried out the Janome Atelier 3 in the shop and found it very easy to use. It has all the features I was looking for - wide throat, needle down position, automatic tie off and thread cutting. I was really pleased to find it came with a free quilting kit - free motion and embroidery feet (plus a few others which I’ve not tried yet!) and extension table. After deciding to go ahead with the purchase it was delivered a couple of days later. I absolutely love it! It is easy to thread and then use. The manual is very clear. There are lots of different stitches, most of which I will probably not use to be honest but great if you want them. I have already finished a quilt which I was struggling to free motion quilt on my old machine, and I’ve got another one ready to start. And I’ve only had it a week! I would highly recommend this machine, also the good service I enjoyed in the shop. Good to know there is someone there available if I need any help.
