Using a Buttonhole Foot on a Brother HF37, XR37NT & XR27NT

What is a Buttonhole Foot?

A buttonhole foot is a sewing machine attachment that helps you create perfectly sized buttonholes with ease. It is a must-have accessory for anyone who loves sewing and wants to add buttons to their projects.

Why Use a Buttonhole Foot?

Using a buttonhole foot on your Brother HF37, XR37NT & XR27NT sewing machine can make the process of creating buttonholes much simpler and more efficient. It ensures that your buttonholes are consistent in size and shape, giving your garments a professional finish.

Changing the Foot

To change the presser foot on your Brother HF37, XR37NT or XR27NT sewing machine, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Press the presser foot lever to raise the presser foot.
  3. Slide the current presser foot to the left and remove it from the machine.
  4. Take the buttonhole foot and align the pin on the foot with the presser foot holder.
  5. Lower the presser foot lever to secure the buttonhole foot in place.

Short Walkthrough: Creating a Buttonhole

Here is a short walkthrough to help you create a buttonhole using the buttonhole foot on your Brother XR37NT or XR27NT and the new HF37 sewing machine:

  1. Attach the buttonhole foot to your sewing machine following the steps mentioned earlier.
  2. Adjust the buttonhole settings as per your requirements.
  3. Place the fabric under the buttonhole foot, aligning the buttonhole mark with the foot's markings.
  4. Lower the presser foot and start sewing. The machine will automatically create the buttonhole.
  5. Once the buttonhole is complete, raise the presser foot and remove the fabric from the machine.
