How Does Baby Lock Air Threading Work? — Fabric Mouse retro baby lock sticker

How Does Baby Lock Air Threading Work?

Short answer: air threading uses a burst of air to move thread through the looper pathway. It removes much of the fiddly manual threading that puts people off an overlocker. The exact parts threaded by air depend on the machine.

Are the needles air threaded too?

On the Baby Lock Victory, the JetAir system threads the loopers, while the needles use a mechanical needle threader. The Baby Lock Acclaim uses RevolutionAir for both loopers and needles. Neither description means the machine chooses your thread colours or cones for you; you still set up the machine for the stitch you want.

If easy threading is your priority, compare these two models in person using the same type of fabric you normally sew. Explore Baby Lock overlockers and contact Fabric Mouse to arrange a demonstration or ask which threading system suits you.
