The Brother CV3550 combines conventional coverstitch hems with top-cover stitching, adding decorative thread across the upper surface as well as the underside. It suits dressmakers who want more finishing options for jersey, activewear and other garment projects.

Choose your stitch finish

Use narrow, wide and triple-needle cover stitches, chain stitch, or the top-cover setup. If you mainly need everyday hems without top-cover stitching, compare the Brother CV3440.

Control and working space

A 155 mm workspace and free arm help with garment handling. Adjust differential feed and presser-foot pressure to suit your fabric, and follow the colour-coded guides for manual threading.

This is a dedicated coverstitch machine. It does not trim edges or replace an overlocker for overlocked seams.
