Compatibility and use

For compatible 5mm Brother machines. Use straight stitch with the needle centred; do not use zigzag or move the needle sideways with this foot fitted.

This is the F011N 5mm version. It is a separate fitting from the F042N 7mm straight stitch foot; similar appearance does not make the two interchangeable.
